Our model of care is truly a team approach that allows us to provide more comprehensive, sustainable, and consistent support to every family we serve. Our work is centered in our shared ethos, sense of wonder, and joy of birth.

Detailed Process

  • 1: Drainage

    Excess blood is drained out of the placenta to minimize contamination, using hospital-grade single-side drainage bag.

  • 2: Sous Vide Prep

    The placenta is secured in a vacuum-sealed Sous Vide bag. The insulated air retains heat to keep the temperature consistent and prevents evaporation.

  • 3: Sous Vide

    I use a Sous Vide circulator to process the placenta at 200F. We want to both eliminate potential bacteria while also preserving nutrients and hormones.

  • 4: Dehydration

    Excess fluid is removed over 12+ hours in a dehydrator kept at 160 degrees. The hot air circulation removes moisture content while preserving nutrients and hormones.

  • 5: Encapsulation

    The dried placenta is placed in a pulverizer to grind the material to a powder. This is then placed in vegan capsules.

  • Periodic Zoom check-ins throughout pregnancy 

  • Unlimited Phone/Text/Email support throughout pregnancy and postpartum

  • A promise to limit the number of clients we take each calendar month

  • Curated guidance for your partner or support person

  • Tips and tricks throughout pregnancy and beyond

  • Education around comfort measures during labor including coping techniques and labor positions

  • Support creating and writing up a “Birth Plan”

  • A private Client Portal with exclusive access to guidebooks, workbooks, resources and more

  • Access to a large referral network of holistic practitioners and resources 

  • On-call for you starting at 37 weeks through the birth of your baby

  • In-person labor support through 1-2 hours after your baby is born

  • Photo and video documentation of your birth, if desired

  • Daily check-ins for the first week postpartum with lactation/feeding support and resources
