Welcome Home Ceremony
We all have a deep maternal need for comfort and care during the postpartum.
Motherhood changes women in ways that are deeply felt but often unseen. This session is meant to take place in your home, ideally soon after your baby arrives. This time can feel overwhelming with all the newness and change, and we want to be there to receive you and hold space for whatever arises. This offering was created to support your nervous system and body after birth. Just as a newborn needs intentional loving care, so does the mother. This session is designed to help you process the birth of your baby, nourish your body, celebrate your power, and build confidence in the new journey ahead.
In the days following the birth of your baby, you are also reborn on many levels. Your mind, body, and spirit reflect this. They need nourishment, connection and love in the same way that your new baby does. When a woman is deeply supported, she can properly care for her newborn. Your needs will be unique, and knowing that each day may feel different, I am able to customize this offering based on what you need in the moment we schedule our session.
Welcome Home Ceremony Includes
DEEP HOLDING IN THE TRANSITION HOME AFTER BIRTH
Herbal foot soak and massage: With gentle music in the background and fresh flowers, we set the tone for a relaxing and nurturing experience.
Belly massage and Velcro belly wrap: The belly massage helps close the womb and brings your organs and muscles back in alignment, it increases blood flow to the abdominal area which promotes better circulation that can aid in healing of the tissues, reduce swelling, and contributes to a faster recovery. The 3-in-1 wrap is like a hug for your nervous system, offering deep holding for this now empty womb space.
A home cooked nourishing soup/stew: You will choose from a variety of recipes I provide that include ingredients and spices that will aid in your healing and nourish your soul. This meal is prepared in my home and brought to you. It will include enough for you and your partner to enjoy.
Healing after birth: Education on the five universal postpartum needs of all women.
Connecting with your partner: As your family grows, everyone’s roles shift. Let’s discuss ways to protect that bond and how to support each other during this transformative time.
